Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che Announces Lineup for Christmas and New Year's Eve Events

Tainan's New Year's Eve celebration this year is very different! The "2020 Tainan Is Different, Tainan Is Young" Christmas and New Year's Eve event series - yesterday (the 26th), Mayor Huang Wei-che personally unveiled the second wave of heavyweight names for the New Year's Eve event series, including a powerhouse hosting lineup of Sa Sa, Wu Chien-heng, Liu Yu-shan and others, while performers include hugely popular singers such as Aaron Yan, Bii, and Janice Yan! There are also two major Korean idol groups, Astro and (G)I-dle. Mayor Huang Wei-che welcomes fans from all over the world to come to Tainan and celebrate! Bringing idol business opportunities to Tainan! Department of Information Director Liu Yi-ling, Tourism Bureau Director Chen Hsin-an, City Councilor Li Chi-wei, and various sponsors also attended the event press conference together, kicking off the lively event series.

Mayor Huang Wei-che stated that the most important feature this year is the change from a single event in the past to multiple events, and the addition of public welfare elements. In the future, social welfare groups and children will be invited to the rock zone, and celebrities will also be invited to take part in public welfare activities. Under limited resources, the city government has created unlimited room for imagination, to let audiences enjoy the best, highest, and finest entertainment. So starting from the Christmas lighting ceremony in early December, continuing through mid-month, Christmas, and New Year's Eve, there will be many, many activities, and he looks forward to all good friends joining the "Tainan Is Young" Christmas and New Year's Eve events.

Mayor Huang Wei-che emphasized that the entire Christmas and New Year's Eve event series is free to attend and is combined with social welfare and public charity, bringing warmth to social welfare groups in the cold winter, so that the events are not just events, but a warm current in a happy city! He especially thanked the injection of private resources. Under the condition of limited government funding, presenting wonderful events to citizens is quite difficult, and only with the injection of resources from all sides can such wonderful programs be presented.

The sponsors this time include: CPC Corporation, Taiwan, Fu Cheng Bus Transportation Co., Ltd., T.S. Mall, Tainan Spinning Co., Ltd., Uni-President Enterprises Corporation, Chi Mei Corporation, Silks Place Tainan, and Tayih Landis Hotel Tainan, among others.
