2019 Tainan Beef Festival kicks off: Mayor Huang Wei-che invites you to "moo-ve" on the 30th

Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che once described Tainan beef soup as the most unique flavor in the world. The "2019 Tainan Beef Festival - Eat in Tainan" event kicked off on the 25th, with the theme "Eat in Tainan - Domestic Beef Is Truly Authentic," conveying Tainan's reputation as a culinary capital and the unique freshness of domestic warm-body beef.

Mayor Huang Wei-che stated that the Tainan Beef Festival has been held since year 93 of the Republic of China, and this year marks the 16th edition. It has both history and reputation, getting better every year and generating more and more response, and it has become an important factor in establishing Tainan as a culinary capital. Mayor Huang Wei-che emphasized, "A hundred words are worth less than one sip," and invited everyone to come taste the fresh and delicious Tainan beef soup along with various beef dishes prepared with Tainan's pineapples, water caltrop and other crops. The Beef Festival opening event will be held on November 30 at the Exploration Park plaza in Yongkang District, Tainan City, featuring 500 free tasting coupons and voting coupons available on-site, allowing attendees to taste beef soup, act as food critics and vote. By placing voting coupons into the raffle box, participants have a chance to win beef soup shop vouchers, and 1,000 raffle tickets are also available free for a lucky draw. All NT$100 beef soup shop vouchers obtained during the event can be used at 25 beef soup shops participating in the Beef Festival marketing activities.
