How to prevent mechanical mixing and degeneration of flower seeds

Flower seeds can degenerate under many circumstances, and once a variety degenerates, the originally superior flowers will become deformed. Here, the editor introduces how to prevent seed degeneration caused by mechanical mixing of flower seeds.
Flower cultivation
1. Harvest seeds in time. Seeds that have fallen to the ground should rather be discarded to avoid seed mixing. When harvesting seeds, label the inside and outside of the harvesting containers with the variety name; if seeds are found without a variety name, they should be discarded.
2. Drying seeds. When drying flower seeds, the containers holding the seeds of each variety should be kept at a certain distance, and even more attention should be paid to seeds that are easily blown by the wind. Small quantities of seeds should be placed in bags to dry.
3. Sowing and raising seedlings. Sowing should be done on a windless day. Seeds that are too light can be mixed with a little fine soil or fine sand. Similar varieties should not be raised in the same bed. When watering, the water flow should be small and slow to avoid washing away the seeds. After sowing, immediately insert labels and draw a planting diagram.
4. Keep field records. The transplanting process is the most prone to mixing. Seedlings must be lifted according to the planting diagram, and as far as possible, finish lifting and planting one variety before lifting and planting another variety, and promptly insert labels and draw a field planting diagram.
5. Roguing. Roguing must be carried out several times during each period of field growth (transplanting, planting out, early flowering, full flowering and late flowering).
