Points to note when preparing nutrient solutions for flowers

1. Use glass, enamel, ceramic, or similar containers to prepare the nutrient solution; never use metal containers.

2. When preparing, first dissolve each element separately in a small amount of warm water at 5O°C, then pour it into the water, stirring while pouring to mix thoroughly.

3. When using tap water to prepare the nutrient solution, add a small amount of humic acid compounds to treat the chloride and sulfide in the water; in rural areas, use river water or lake water to prepare it directly.

4. Adjust the pH of the nutrient solution

If the pH of the water used is neutral or slightly acidic, and the pH of the prepared nutrient solution is similar to that of the water source, no adjustment is needed; but if the tap water used tests alkaline with pH test paper, phosphoric acid should be used to neutralize it; if it is strongly acidic, add sodium hydroxide dropwise to neutralize it, making it neutral or slightly acidic.
