122 food safety model catering businesses in Hsinchu County: ingredient traceability truly reassuring

Hsinchu County - To enhance food safety effectiveness, a certification ceremony for the Food Hygiene and Safety Mark "Catering Hygiene Management Graded Assessment" was specially held on the 14th in the first-floor lobby of the County Government Hall. A total of 122 catering businesses received the Food Hygiene and Safety Mark certification this time, including 104 rated Excellent and 18 rated Good. At the scene, food safety leader County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke led attending guests and catering operators in waving a large banner bearing the Hsinchu County Food Safety and Hygiene Mark, symbolizing everyone working together with one heart to safeguard food safety and hygiene in Hsinchu County. The event site echoed with the chant: "Food safety leader Yang, Hsinchu County healthiest," bringing the atmosphere to its peak.

County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke stated that food safety is the most important thing. The county government actively handles catering hygiene assessments. Since the 100th year of the Republic of China (2011), 777 businesses have passed the assessment as "Excellent" and 308 as "Good," totaling 1,085, providing the public with consumption choices and allowing them to come to Hsinchu County with peace of mind to enjoy food, jointly safeguarding food safety for the people.

The Hsinchu County Health Bureau, by promoting the "Romantic Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Route 3 Food Hygiene and Safety Mark" certification system, enhances the ability of catering operators in Hsinchu County to self-manage hygiene and safety, enabling Hsinchu County catering operators to give county residents trust and assurance in food hygiene in addition to deliciousness.

After the certification ceremony ended, the organizer thoughtfully provided "small farmer lunch boxes," containing orange-scented cakes carefully made by the Hsinchu County Farmers' Association homemaking class. Their greatest feature is that the orange-scented cakes are rice cakes made from rice flour, with no artificial flavoring, only the fresh fragrance of lemon, very suitable for enjoying at breakfast or afternoon tea. The banana pound cake is made using bananas produced by local small farmers, and it is also very tasty after being chilled, allowing guests to taste the freshest, most original local ingredients.
