Flower and plant pests can be effectively controlled with homemade pesticides
Long-term use of chemical pesticides to control flower and plant pests easily pollutes the environment. Making homemade pesticides yourself to control flower and plant pests works well, with no pollution and no pesticide damage.
1. Garlic juice. Take 0.5 kg of purple-skin garlic, add a little water and soak for a moment, mash and extract the juice, dilute with water 10 times, and spray immediately. It can control aphids, red spiders, and scale insect nymphs; pouring garlic juice into the potting soil can control nematodes and earthworms.
2. Tobacco leaf water. Take 50 g of tobacco leaves, or 100 g of tobacco stems or leftover cigarette butts, add 1.5 kg of water, boil for half an hour, or soak for a day and a night, rub repeatedly with your hands, filter through gauze, and add 0.1%-0.2% neutral laundry detergent before spraying. It can control aphids, red spiders, leafhoppers, thrips, leaf-rolling caterpillars and various other leaf-eating pests.
3. Chili water. Take 50 g of dried red chilies, add about 1 kg of clean water and boil for 10-20 minutes, filter and take the clear liquid for spraying. It can control aphids, red spiders, whiteflies, etc.
4. Sichuan pepper water. Take 50 g of Sichuan pepper (or black pepper), add about 1 kg of water, boil for 30-40 minutes, filter and spray on the plants. It can kill aphids.
5. Pulsatilla decoction. Take 500 g of Pulsatilla chinensis bulbs, add 5 kg of water and boil for half an hour, filter and spray on the flowers and plants. It can kill aphids.
6. Peach leaf decoction. Take 0.5 kg of peach leaves, add about 3 kg of water and boil for 30 minutes, filter and spray. It can control aphids, inchworms and mollusk pests, etc.; after cutting the peach leaves into pieces, drying them in the sun and grinding them into powder, applying it into the soil can control underground pests such as mole crickets and white grubs.
