What are the flower irrigation methods? Introduction to common methods
Today, the flower market is growing larger and larger, and at the same time its varieties are also increasing. Therefore, flower irrigation methods are no longer single but are developing toward diversification. The following is an analysis of several commonly used flower irrigation methods.
I. Energy-saving and water-saving drip irrigation method
For some areas with better water quality, the drip irrigation method can be considered for flower irrigation, which can avoid equipment clogging. Drip irrigation refers to an irrigation system in which the emitters used apply water to crops in the form of drops or a continuous fine stream. Common emitters in drip irrigation systems include drippers, drip arrows, drip irrigation pipes, drip irrigation tapes, etc. The drip irrigation system is one of the most advanced irrigation methods. Using drip irrigation can avoid the drawback of other irrigation methods, in which excessive humidity after watering easily causes crop disease. Therefore, drip irrigation can be said to be the best choice for the vast majority of greenhouse flower irrigation systems.
best choice.
Drip irrigation is different from other irrigation methods, so two points need attention. The biggest difference between the drip irrigation system and traditional irrigation methods such as border irrigation and pipe irrigation is "small amounts and frequent applications." With a drip irrigation system, the emphasis is on "watering the crop and watering the roots." Each irrigation session should not last too long, and it varies according to different flowers and planting methods. For example, for potted flowers, it is advisable to control it so that water does not flow out from the bottom of the flowerpot. The water volume of each drip irrigation session is much less than that of traditional irrigation methods such as border irrigation and pipe irrigation, so the irrigation frequency needs to be increased. Second, matrix is often used for planting flowers, so when selecting the model of drip irrigation pipes (tapes), the following points need attention:
1. The dripper spacing should not be selected too large; choose a 10 cm spacing as much as possible; the dripper flow rate should not be too small and should be 2L/h;
2. When laying drip irrigation pipes (tapes), the water outlets must face upward or be parallel to the ground surface, and must not face downward, to prevent soil from clogging the water outlets when the water is suddenly stopped; the filtration device must be cleaned regularly, and it is recommended to clean it after each irrigation. It is forbidden to remove the filter element and not use it.
II. Convenient and simple micro-sprinkler method
The micro-sprinkler system irrigation method lies in the selection of sprinklers, which can be freely chosen according to one's own needs. Micro-sprinkler irrigation refers to the use of emitters that apply water to crops in the state of sprayed water flow. It has various sprinklers and sprinkler hoses. Generally speaking, sprinkler hoses are laid on the ground surface or sprinklers are inserted into the ground. In facilities, micro-sprinklers are generally hung upside down on the facility framework to avoid affecting the operation of the micro-sprinkler system on other crops in the field. Sprinklers can be divided into two types: rotating and scattering. Rotating type is generally used for supplemental irrigation. Scattering type can be further divided into refractive type and centrifugal type, which are respectively used for cooling and humidifying irrigation and atomizing irrigation in soilless cultivation.
The micro-sprinkler irrigation method can be used together with the drip irrigation method, complementing each other and improving benefits. When using the micro-sprinkler irrigation method, pay attention to these points:
1. When micro-sprinklers are installed upside down, an anti-drip device must be installed to prevent dripping from the micro-sprinklers after the water is stopped from harming the flowers;
2. If in a facility the micro-sprinkler system and the drip irrigation system share one water source at the same time, a pressure-reducing device should be installed on the drip irrigation system or a local pressurizing device should be installed on the micro-sprinkler system, to prevent the drip irrigation system from bursting or the micro-sprinkler system from failing to spray;
3. The filtration device must be cleaned regularly, and it is recommended to clean it after each irrigation. It is forbidden to remove the filter element and not use it.
III. Artificial fog method with good atomization effect
In some areas, the temperature is high and dry, which is not suitable for flower growth, so artificial cooling and humidification are needed. The working pressure of artificial fog is very high, generally from 4MPa to 12MPa, so the atomization effect is very good. It is generally used for cooling and humidifying high-grade flowers in multi-span greenhouses, and can also be used for spraying pesticides and disinfection. At the same time, note the following:
1. The water outlet diameter of artificial fog nozzles is very small, and the requirements for water quality are very high. Softened water is usually used to prevent nozzle clogging. Once nozzle clogging occurs, the nozzle can be removed and cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner;
2. The pressure pump of the artificial fog system needs regular maintenance and oil replacement;
3. This system is generally controlled by an automatic control system, which automatically turns on and off according to temperature and humidity.
IV. Low-investment sprinkler irrigation method
In places with a good environment, flowers and plants can be directly cultivated in the open field, so irrigation is also relatively convenient. Sprinkler irrigation refers to the medium sprinkler used for open-field flowers, with a sprinkler range of about 12 m. Open-field herbaceous flowers are most suitable for sprinkler irrigation. When using it, note: choose the sprinkler flow rate as small as possible to prevent excessively large water droplets from affecting flower production; when the wind speed is relatively high, do not irrigate.
The flower growth environments in different regions are different, the water requirements are also different, and the characteristics of the flowers themselves are also different. Therefore, in terms of irrigation methods, choices should be made as appropriate according to the flowers' water requirements and habits and their ability to adapt to different moisture environments.
