Choose the right pesticide for flower pest control, and matching the pesticide to the pest gives good results
When controlling flower pests, applying pesticides according to the pest's different mouthparts will be of great help in improving the control effect.
Common pests with chewing mouthparts include the yellow slug moth, scarab beetles, white grubs, black cutworms, mole crickets, and so on. Stomach poisons are the first choice, commonly including trichlorfon, sodium fluorosilicate, and so on.
Common pests with piercing-sucking mouthparts include scale insects, aphids, thrips, whiteflies, mites, and so on. When controlling the damage of flower pests with piercing-sucking mouthparts, systemic insecticides are the most effective. Contact insecticides, such as malathion, phoxim, cypermethrin, deltamethrin, and so on, also have a relatively good control effect on flower pests. It should be noted that stomach poisons are basically ineffective against flower pests with piercing-sucking mouthparts. (Zhang Huili)
