Sooty mold is a common condition in succulents. It is contagious, and if it is not detected and isolated in time, it can cause the whole plant to become diseased and wither.

In succulents affected by sooty mold, the leaves will slowly wrinkle, then dark brown mold spots will appear, which will gradually expand afterward, and finally the leaves will slowly dry up and fall off. Sooty mold on succulents is a contagious condition. If it is not isolated and treated in time, it can spread to other leaves or plants, causing the entire succulent to become diseased and wither.

Below let us look at some pictures of sooty mold on succulents, so that everyone can compare them for diagnosis.

What medication is used for sooty mold on succulents

1. Nisso fungicide powder, Amimiao Shou, and thiophanate-methyl used alternately; several succulents were cured.

2. For the other succulents, I am currently using Sumitomo Japan's fungicide and insecticide spray, the one in the red bottle; the effect remains to be seen.

2. Iprodione (I use iprodione; when treating sooty mold, also treat insects at the same time, because if there are insects, they are also prone to sooty mold).

3. Thiophanate-methyl plus streptomycin (I have used thiophanate-methyl plus streptomycin and it worked very well!) (Takes effect in three days, clears it up in one week).
