A New Option for Beating the Heat: New Taipei Blue Highway Night Cruises Are Here!
The New Taipei City Blue Highway will launch night cruises starting July 1! Daily "Zhongxiao Night Cruise" and "Huajiang Night Cruise" routes will be offered at NT$150 per person, with complimentary snacks and drinks included. The 70-minute journey lets you enjoy the cool breeze of the Tamsui River and ride the waves for a refreshing new way to beat the heat.
Lin Shih-chin, Section Chief of the Transportation Management Division of the New Taipei City Transportation Department, said that New Taipei Blue Highway night cruises have always been popular with the public and are the best choice for beating the summer heat. This year, operator "Haolehao Company" is offering two routes for visitors to choose from, the "Zhongxiao Night Cruise" and the "Huajiang Night Cruise," boarding and disembarking at "Zhongxiao Wharf" and "Huajiang Wharf" respectively. The journey takes about 70 minutes, and visitors can take in the scenery along the Tamsui River, viewing the Taipei Bridge, Chongyang Bridge, Shezi Island... and other riverside sights from a different angle, enjoying the beautiful sunset and the cool, comfortable breeze on their faces while listening to guided commentary on the landscapes and cultural stories of both banks.
The New Taipei City Transportation Department stated that the night cruise activity runs from July 1 to December 31, with night cruise sailings available every day. Each sailing has limited advance tickets, priced at NT$150 per person, with complimentary snacks and drinks included. Those interested can book tickets starting at 12:00 on June 28 on the KKTIX ticketing platform or the KKTIX mobile app ticketing platform. For detailed information, visit the Haolehao Co., Ltd. website (https://haloha.kktix.cc/) or call (02)2558-5519.
The New Taipei City Transportation Department also reminds the public that for navigation safety, Haolehao Company will announce adjustments to routes or sailing dates on its official website in advance depending on wind, waves and tide conditions.
