How often is it best to apply flower fertilizer?

Different flower varieties have different fertilizer requirements. Generally speaking, before potting flowers, base fertilizer should be applied to the potting soil and the bottom of the pot, and during the flower's growth process, topdressing should be applied well. During the seedling stage, apply more nitrogen fertilizer, such as urea and soybean cake water, to promote growth; during the bud stage, apply more phosphorus fertilizer to promote flowering, such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate and superphosphate; apply little fertilizer in the early fruit-setting stage; during the fruit-swelling stage, apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate, to promote fruit and seed development. Spring and autumn are the growth periods for flowers, and also the best and safest periods for fertilizing, so more topdressing can be applied.

In summer, when temperatures are high and plants grow vigorously, topdressing is also needed; pay attention to the fertilizer concentration and be sure to apply light fertilizer frequently. For flowers that go dormant in summer, such as calla lily, cyclamen, and fuchsia, fertilizing must be stopped. In winter, when temperatures are low and flowers grow slowly, fertilizer is generally not applied. In spring and autumn, apply once every 10-15 days. As temperatures rise and plant growth increases, the number of fertilizer applications should gradually increase; in summer, apply fertilizer once every 7-10 days.
