Keelung Chaojing Bay Festival invites you to explore the maritime charm

Now in its second year, the "Keelung Chaojing Bay Festival" is launching five high-quality "chao" activities this year to bring the ocean into people's daily lives. A warm-up press conference was held yesterday (the 30th). Mayor Lin Yu-chang stressed that the event showcases the unique charm and appeal of Keelung as a maritime city, so that whenever people think of the ocean or of a romantic life, they think of Keelung.

At the press conference, Keelung Mayor Lin Yu-chang, Ocean Affairs Council Deputy Minister Chuang Ching-ta, National Museum of Marine Science and Technology Director Chen Su-fen, Legislator Tsai Shih-ying, Fishermen's Association Chairman Yu Jih-hsing and several city councilors set sail to announce the start of the event, then personally boarded sailboats to experience the maritime atmosphere.

Mayor Lin Yu-chang said that all the elements of the ocean can be enjoyed in Keelung. The Chaojing Bay Festival combines sailing races, a fishing village experience in Badouzi, a starlight candlelit banquet at the 101 Highland with chefs' skillful cooking, and a maritime concert, along with many other ocean experience activities, waiting for everyone to come and explore Keelung this summer.

The Keelung City Department of Economic Development said that the "Keelung Chaojing Bay Festival", continuing the momentum of last year's series of events, features five "chao" activities: "Chao Ocean", "Chao Music", "Chao Food", "Chao Ecology" and "Chao Fishing Village", allowing participants to get to know, understand and love the ocean and join the ranks of those protecting it.
