Yilan, Hualien and Taitung Counties and Cities' "Mulan" Alliance Creates the Greatest Benefit

The three female heads of Yilan, Hualien and Taitung counties and cities in eastern Taiwan, Lin Zi-miao, Hsu Chen-wei and Rao Ching-ling, in order to integrate regional resources, launched the "Eastern Yilan-Hualien-Taitung - Mulan" alliance to jointly promote eastern regional development policies. The three counties and cities are busy launching a series of preparatory meetings, and in addition to resource sharing and mutual benefit within the region, they have also planned a series of highlights, striving to make the market pie bigger.

The three counties and cities of Yilan, Hualien and Taitung gathered again yesterday (the 20th) in Hualien County - to hold the second preparatory meeting of the regional alliance. Hualien County - was represented by Deputy Secretary-General and Director of Social Affairs Chang Yi-hua together with representatives of various bureau and department heads, along with the county government team led by Yilan County - Secretary-General Lin Mao-sheng and Taitung County - Counselor Hsin Chin-hsiang, about 45 people in total, to comprehensively consult on tourism, culture, agriculture, transportation, education and so on, to communicate on common features and needs, actively integrate their respective resources, and at the same time overcome the barriers between them and seek ways to cooperate.

This meeting further discussed the design concept of the "Mulan" brand LOGO, Yilan-Hualien-Taitung tourism resources and promotion fairs, transportation integration, the establishment of an organic agricultural paradise and integration of specialty agricultural products, large-scale international performances and other art alliances, and media marketing, adding value to tourism development benefits, and striving to expand overseas markets for eastern Taiwan.

The "Mulan" brand cleverly combines the names of the three counties and cities: Yi"lan", "Hua"lien, and Tai"dong" (dong is "wood" plus the sun ""), and the common point of Yilan, Hualien and Taitung is not only that the county magistrates are all women, but also that they jointly welcome the vigorous and youthful scene of the sunrise in the east, possessing mountains, seas and rich and diverse cultures. The vision is to combine the economy of Yilan, Hualien and Taitung with a population of one million, cultural exchange alliance, and joint marketing, to achieve the effect of mutual benefit, mutual exchange and mutual growth.
