2019 Taiwan International Balloon Festival: Experience a Different Taitung

Over nine years, the "Taiwan International Balloon Festival" has drawn millions of tourists from around the world who come especially for it. After much eager anticipation from the public, it will soon kick off with a lively opening on June 29 to August 12, a total of 45 days, at Luye Highland in Taitung. Not only are the number of days not reduced, but 8 glow concerts are also planned. In addition to touring various parts of the county for performances as in previous years, this year it boldly crosses the sea to Green Island and Dawu for the first time. Taitung County Magistrate Rao Ching-ling welcomes visitors from home and abroad to come to Luye Highland to "go crazy for balloons and watch the glow." The 2019 Taiwan International Balloon Festival, full of happy childlike fun, awaits you to personally experience a different kind of surprise.

Entering its ninth year this year, the "Taiwan International Balloon Festival," in order to present a look different from previous years, will adopt the theme "Fortune Lasting Nine (Long). Dream Children's Paradise" this year. In addition to the variously shaped balloons from home and abroad whose designs the organizers are currently carefully keeping strictly under wraps to avoid spoilers, the overall event will use the planned "Happiness Lasting Long - Nine Major Activities" to turn Luye Highland into a balloon party full of "happiness and childlike fun."

In addition, the balloon glow concerts, which have drawn the highest number of inquiries from the public over the years, will also take on a brand-new venue, with the balloon glow concert to be performed across the sea for the first time. In the challenge of Green Island, which possesses national-level natural scenery, a balloon feast combining the summer night's Milky Way starry sky with dreams taking flight will compose a beautiful Milky Way glow journey.

Among the eight glow concerts, stars will also gather. In addition to wonderful performances by Nine One One, Shao Yu-wei, and hip-hop golden boy BCW from Dawu Township in Taitung, well-known local specialty performance groups from Taitung have also been invited to present a perfect visual and auditory enjoyment for each glow concert.
