Spring Travel Subsidy Doubled in Hsinchu City with Great Gifts, Five Dragon Boat Festival Events to Play All Over Hsinchu

Hsinchu City - The "Come Stay a Night in Hsinchu" travel subsidy launched in February this year received an enthusiastic response, with hotel performance up 20%. In conjunction with the Tourism Bureau's Spring Travel Project, Hsinchu City has also launched an exclusive subsidy. From now until June 30, domestic independent travelers staying at any of the 45 participating hotels from Sunday to Thursday can enjoy a subsidy of 500 yuan per room, and also have a chance to receive local gift sets, free water activity experiences and other offers. Hsinchu City Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that in May and June the city government will also hold five exciting events, including the Dongmen Market Banquet, Old Town Good Food Festival, Qingcao Lake SUP Water Carnival, Hsinchu Fishing Harbor Dragon Boat Festival, and Gangnan Canal Family Sports Day, suitable for the whole family, delicious, fun, interesting and with great deals to grab.

This time the Hsinchu City Government has doubled down with the "Come Stay a Night in Hsinchu Spring Travel Edition" gift giveaway event, cooperating with 45 hotel operators. Guests who check in have a chance to receive the most popular local souvenirs, such as Hsin Fu Yuan peanut butter, Yuan Zhen soy sauce, A-Zhong Ice Shop pineapple jam, bamboo-shaped glass cups and more, allowing visitors to take home the exclusive flavors and memories of Hsinchu City. Independent travelers with proof of accommodation can also enjoy free stand-up paddleboard SUP or swan boat experiences at Qingcao Lake for 2 people per room. Besides hoping to bring tourism business opportunities, it also aims to attract visitors to come and witness the changes in Hsinchu City.

Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that in addition to multiple discounts and souvenir giveaways, this spring travel event will also hold five major spring travel series activities during May and June. On May 18, the Dongmen Market Banquet will be held, which in addition to old town guided tours, will also invite rock bands Sui Xing Band, Pa Pang Tuan, and Mei Xiu Group, letting everyone experience the culture of traditional banquet dining.
