The Hsinchu City Environmental Protection Bureau, in order to encourage the public to purchase environmentally friendly products, raise awareness of "green products," take the initiative to pay attention to green products in daily life, and at the same time bring green consumption habits into the household, has specially organized the "Green Living in My Home - Photo Upload" lucky draw event. From May 1 to June 30 of this year (2019), simply take a photo with two green products from your home, upload it to the "Love Hsinchu Green Resource Recycling Network," and fill out the registration form to enter the lucky draw. The prizes include 10 prizes of 100,000 environmental green points, and 50 prizes such as eco-friendly laundry detergent. Mayor Lin Chih-chien encourages the public to make greater use of green products, put green living and the green economy into practice, join together in protecting the environment and loving the Earth, and do their part for environmental sustainability and future generations.

Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that green consumption is consumption behavior consistent with health and environmental protection. He encourages citizens to use green products and also calls on citizens to quickly join the ranks of environmental point collection. Not only can purchasing eco-friendly products earn points, riding public transportation can also earn points. "Environmental point collection" is a substantive reward that "gives green actions value." Once a certain number of points has accumulated, they can be used to offset cash when purchasing green products, loving the Earth while also saving money.

Environmental Protection Bureau Director Chiang Sheng-jen stated that the Environmental Protection Bureau said participating in environmental point collection is very easy. Simply download the "Environmental Point Collection" app from the Play Store on a smartphone, apply for an environmental point collection account, and register as an environmental point collection member. On ordinary days, 1 yuan of green consumption earns 1 point, while on every Saturday and Sunday member days, points are given at 10 times the rate, and every 100 points offsets 1 yuan. The point collection methods include four major aspects: purchasing green products, public transportation, environmental actions, and filling out questionnaires. Points can be redeemed through three major channels: physical stores, online stores, and travel services.
