New Taipei City Bitan Water Dance Combines A-Lin's Hit Song and Anime Theme Song, Sparking a Craze

Since its launch on March 8, 2019, the Bitan Water Dance has sparked another craze in less than 3 weeks, drawing large numbers of tourists to the banks of the Xindian River to watch the all-new season of the water dance show. With the weather gradually warming up and the upcoming April long weekend in mind, 2 new headline programs will be launched on March 30, hoping to attract spring outing crowds and let them experience the sensory feast of the Bitan Water Dance for the third consecutive year.

The first wave of programs launched by the Bitan Water Dance since March 8 features 2 shows, "Stunning Beauty" and "The Mass." "Stunning Beauty," with its soft and romantic lyrics and melody, combined with the all-new peacock-display water dance nozzles seen for the first time in Taiwan, presents an extremely delicate rhythmic sense of flowing colored fan curves; as for "The Mass," it will bring the audience a majestic and powerful shock. Those who have not yet seen it can seize the last few days to go and watch.

Starting March 30, the Bitan Water Dance will switch to its second batch of new programs. One of them is "Just Thinking of You + Old Man's Drinking Song" performed by indigenous singer A-Lin. Through her high and resounding voice, the water dance is rich in strong indigenous characteristics, conveying an impassioned and magnificent feeling; the other is the theme song of animation master Hayao Miyazaki's "My Neighbor Totoro," carefully selected in response to the upcoming Children's Day, providing the audience with a light and fantastical experience.

The Bitan Water Dance runs from March 8, 2019 (ROC year 108) to April 30 at night, a total of 54 days. Every night from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., performances begin on every hour and half hour. Each program lasts about 6 minutes, with 2 programs performed alternately. The public is warmly welcome to come and join.
