Alishan Cherry Blossom Season in Chiayi County -- A Dialogue Between Blossoms and Music

On the morning of March 13, the Chiayi Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau held the Alishan Flower Season opening ceremony at the Xianglin Sacred Tree Theater in the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. Chiayi County Magistrate Weng Chang-liang, Deputy Director Li Ting-chung of the Chiayi Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau, and Deputy Chief Executive Chang Ching-hsu of the Joint Service Center for the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Region of the Executive Yuan attended the opening ceremony together. Local residents and tourists participated enthusiastically, making the scene quite lively.

This year's cherry blossom season key visual uses scattered, vibrant colors, interweaving flowers and butterflies dancing together, paired with the towering Xianglin Sacred Tree, drawing the attention of guests to the key visual and performances. The opening featured the "Shrimp Human Vocal Ensemble" performing "Dream Field" in a cappella. This famous song is the one "Shrimp" performed when received by the President, in the hope that everyone attending the opening ceremony can, like them, break through limitations and bravely realize their dreams through action in any form.

Cherry blossoms and the steam train complementing each other is a classic scene tourists must not miss. The Alishan Forest Railway and Cultural Heritage Management Office, in coordination with the flower season activities, will have the "Zhaoping Line" train within the recreation area run 6 scheduled trips with a steam locomotive pulling cypress carriages every Wednesday during the flower season (March 13, 20, 27 and April 3, 10) from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

The Chiayi Forest District Office stated that during the flower season, small concerts will be held on March 13, 20, 27, April 6 and 10, taking turns at Zhouzhi Bridge, Cherry King Platform, Zhaoping Park and the Alishan Visitor Center.
