Moles Are Wrecking My Farmland, So I'll Deal with Them Myself

General News 0 views
My moles, my fight!

Finally caught this little bastard!

This fellow, some people call it a mole rat, but properly speaking it's a mole; the old folks call it a 'dull rat' (Taiwanese), and it lives underground year-round. It dies when exposed to light, its eyes are useless and have long since degenerated, buried in its fine fur. It gets by sniffing around with its sharp nose, with a few thin, long sensory antennae attached outside, and there may be some earthworms and small insects in the soil, so you can often see traces of where it has passed. On the ground there will be raised cracked patterns, quite artistic geometric lines.

As usual, once I've finished looking at it, I toss it somewhere else. Don't come back to my house, there are humans here, very scary!
