Plants are divided into auspicious and inauspicious, and their placement in home feng shui has its rules
Introduction: Household plants are actually very particular about feng shui, because plants themselves involve yin and yang and the five elements, so they are divided into auspicious and inauspicious. Studying the auspicious and inauspicious qualities of plants is beneficial to the overall feng shui of the home. A renovated residence is not just a place to shelter from rain, but also a place to live. Now let the editor introduce plant feng shui to everyone.
Plant types considered to have inauspicious omens:
Feng shui trees: In the south, near some villages a small patch of lush green trees is preserved, mostly evergreen trees such as camphor, pine, cypress and nanmu. As a sightseer, you must never touch them. Because these are feng shui trees, also called shuikou trees. Do not think it is just a small patch of lush green trees; it is linked to the feng shui lifeline of the whole village, and the local people do not dare to touch a single blade of grass or tree there, fearing it would damage the village's feng shui.
Eucalyptus: This "giant" among trees can grow as tall as a building of more than twenty stories. Young and middle-aged people do not dare to plant it; it is said that when the tree grows big, the person must die. To plant this tree, one has to ask an elderly person, since by the time the tree grows big, the planter's lifespan will be about over anyway.
Plant types considered to have auspicious omens:
Toon tree: The toon tree grows easily and lives long, and in some places the custom of touching the toon tree is popular. On New Year's Eve, children all touch the toon tree and also walk around it a few times, praying to grow tall quickly; in some places, on the morning of the first day of the first lunar month, children hug the toon tree and chant, "Toon tree, toon tree, you are the king; you grow thick and I grow long."
Sophora tree: It is believed to represent "emolument." In ancient times, the imperial court planted three sophora trees and nine thorn trees; the nobles and high officials sat beneath them, and those facing the three sophora trees were the three highest officials, so later sophora trees were planted in courtyards. Peach tree: It is said to be the essence of the five elements and able to control all ghosts, so during the New Year peachwood charms were hung on doors. Willow tree: It has the same function as the peach tree; willow branches were inserted at doors and gates to drive away evil.
