Promoting the Baishihu Tourist Strawberry Farm: Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je Experiences Agricultural Tourism in Taipei

As spring arrives, the "2019 Neihu Strawberry Season" will kick off this weekend, and Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je specially took the strawberry shuttle bus to the Baishihu Leisure Agriculture Area on the morning of yesterday (the 6th) to warm up for the Neihu Strawberry Season ahead of time; facing the large strawberry fields before him, he joked that if possible, he would like to bring some strawberries home for his wife.

Under the careful guidance of the farmers, Mayor Ko Wen-je visited the organic strawberry farm and experienced the agricultural tourism itinerary meticulously planned by the local community and the production and marketing group, making strawberry jam by hand and doing a DIY PIZZA together with local councilors.

Walking into the agricultural market created by the local farms and community, Mayor Ko Wen-je praised the strawberries and agricultural products of the Baishihu area, tasting them one by one on site and asking about the know-how behind their production.

In addition, regarding the city government information leak, Taipei City Government Deputy Spokesperson Ko Yu-an said later to the public that this information leak incident was discovered on the afternoon of March 4 when colleagues from the Department of Information Technology conducted a routine information security inspection and found that 11 computers in the Secretariat had leaked information; the Department of Information Technology immediately handled it in accordance with SOPs and reported it to the Information Security Office of the Executive Yuan. Later, it was found that the leaked documents were related to administrative documents, so the level of the report was raised, and the Investigation Bureau was asked to conduct an investigation. The entire case has now been transferred to the prosecutors and investigation authorities for handling, and detailed information will be explained to everyone once the investigation comes to a conclusion.
