Succulent Garden Growth Diary: Recording the Plant's Growth Process

People today are very fond of plump, fleshy succulents, so there are a great many people growing them. But some people get very impatient, because after growing them for a long time, the succulents at home still show no change, which leaves them quite unhappy, and they gradually forget about their lovely succulents. You should know that any plant needs a relatively long time to grow, so what exactly is the growth process of a succulent like? Below, let us take a look at the growth process of succulents.

Succulent Seed Germination Stage

No matter what kind of plant it is, at the very beginning it is just tiny seeds. So when everyone sees our lovely succulents, they are just individual seeds. Of course, there are exceptions to everything; many succulents on the market today have already sprouted, and these succulents are a little easier to grow. To be honest, during the seed germination stage you cannot really see any particularly big changes. If you start from seeds, during this period you may notice some tender, emerald-green little seedlings. But some more unusual succulents may not be like this; for example, Debbie, which is a plant grown in spring and autumn, and right now is exactly the time to grow it.

Succulent Leaf Growth Stage

After a plant sprouts, it will slowly grow leaves. For succulents, the leaves are the most important part, because as foliage plants, whether a succulent looks good depends on whether its leaves are healthy, whether the leaf color is bright, and so on. As one of the most beloved succulents in our daily lives, Debbie is naturally also one of the plants people love to grow. During the leaf growth stage, that is, around April and May, which is roughly the situation people see after growing them for a period of time, the leaves go from slowly emerging to gradually becoming plump and beautiful, and the leaves of the whole plant look very pink and tender.

Succulent Color Transition Stage

Many succulents have this very unique period, which is the process of gradual color change in the leaves. During this period, the plant becomes more and more mature, and the leaf color changes accordingly. Some plants may have all their leaves change color, while others only have the leaf edges change color, but there are also succulents where the color merely gradually deepens. Take Debbie again, for example: in the height of summer, from June to August, with plenty of sunlight, Debbie grown in the sun will change color. You should know that in March and April, Debbie's color is mostly pink, while at this time it is pinkish blue.

Succulent Maturity Stage

After the trials and growth of an entire summer, our succulents gradually mature, no longer tender little plants, but instead becoming exquisite plants that can be enjoyed directly. Perhaps because of the strong light in summer, at this time the succulent leaves may become longer and thinner, but as autumn and winter pass, our succulents slowly become plump and chubby again. Especially in autumn, when there is more rain, with warm weather and humid air, the lovely succulents can transform magnificently. In the early morning, strolling through your own succulent garden, you can discover succulents covered in morning dew, looking especially delicate and lovely in the sunlight.

Conclusion: Succulents are plants that need a relatively long time to grow, so when growing them there is often a fairly long plant growth process. Although this period is long, the whole journey is very interesting and colorful.
