Landscape uses of Photinia × fraseri
1. One- to two-year-old Photinia × fraseri can be pruned into low shrubs, planted in masses as ground cover in garden green spaces, or combined with other colored-leaf plants to form various patterns; during the red-leaf period, the color contrast is very striking.
2. Leaf spot: 60% carbendazim 300-400-fold solution or thiophanate 300-400-fold solution can be used for control.

Cutworms: it is best to do this before planting; the soil should be deeply plowed appropriately, and phosphorus-containing insecticides such as soil cutworm killer should be spread.
