Planting advantages and techniques of Hanfu apple. Is Hanfu apple easy to grow

Hanfu apple is a variety with great advantages among apple varieties, so more and more people are now planting Hanfu apple, and mastering some techniques for planting and caring for Hanfu apple is quite necessary.

Planting advantages of Hanfu apple

Hanfu apple is a new cold-resistant, high-quality apple variety with independent intellectual property rights. It features bright appearance, crisp and tender flesh, abundant juice, and a strong sweet-sour taste with aroma. It has high nutritional and medicinal value.

According to scientific testing, in every 100 grams of fresh Hanfu apple fruit, soluble solids reach 15.2%, total sugar 12.01%, titratable acid 0.20%, and it is rich in special substances such as tannic acid, pectin, and dietary fiber. It also contains minerals such as zinc and potassium, trace elements, and various vitamins, especially vitamin C, whose content in every 100 grams of flesh is as high as 8.1 mg.

Hanfu apple has effects such as promoting salivation and quenching thirst, moistening the lungs and relieving restlessness, strengthening the spleen and benefiting the stomach, nourishing the heart and boosting qi, moistening the intestines, stopping diarrhea, relieving summer heat, and sobering up after drinking. The vitamin C in apples is the guardian of the cardiovascular system and a health element for heart disease patients; it can also prevent cancer and lead poisoning. The pectin and trace element chromium it contains can keep blood sugar stable. Apples contain various vitamins, minerals, sugars, fats, and other nutrients necessary for building the brain.

Planting techniques for Hanfu apple

Select strong seedlings: choose 2-year-old seedlings 70 cm-100 cm tall, preferably 3-year-old finished seedlings, with good lignification and a well-developed root system; Hanfu seedlings grafted with GM256 as the interstock require the position to be at 30 cm-40 cm; the training zone has 5-7 plump buds, and the seedling is undamaged.

Planting time: it is suitable to plant after leaf fall in autumn or in early spring. In the previous autumn, dig the planting holes according to length, width, and depth of 80 cm x 80 cm x 60 cm, and plant in the following spring.

Planting density: determine the planting density according to the terrain of the orchard, local climatic conditions, and rootstock type. For standard trees, the row spacing is 3 m x 4 m; for dwarfing rootstock planting, 2.5 m x 4 m, with rows running north-south.

Planting technique: before planting, carry out root pruning, set up poles, and mark lines, aligning with the row direction. When planting, select Hanfu seedlings with well-developed roots and robust growth and soak them in a solution mixed with 600-fold carbendazim to disinfect the seedlings and allow them to fully absorb water. After soaking, dip the seedling roots in mud slurry mixed with rooting powder, then plant. After planting, cover the ground with plastic film. The trunk height after heading is 70-80 cm, and the cut is sealed with wax.

Artificial pollination: when the pollinizer arrangement is unreasonable and pollinating insects are lacking, artificial supplementary pollination can be used. The pollen collected should be from varieties with strong compatibility with Hanfu, a large amount of pollen, an overlapping flowering period, and normal development, such as New Red Star, Gala, Golden Delicious, etc. The collected pollen gives the best effect when used in the early full-bloom stage of Hanfu, on the day the flowers open or the next day.

Pest and disease control of Hanfu apple

Adhere to the principle of "prevention first, integrated control." Before bud break in spring, spray 5 degrees Baume lime sulfur mixture or 300-400-fold Dongchunbao solution. For orchards with severe rot disease, apply green sealing paste.

In the early flowering stage, use 20% Taoxiao Lisha 2000-fold + 20% Luanmanjin 2000-fold solution + imidacloprid 2000-fold solution to control aphids, red spiders, leaf rollers, caterpillars, etc.;

After flowering, use 20% Hongbai Luanmanjing 2000-fold solution + 50% carbendazim 500-fold solution to control apple leaf mites and apple brown rot; from late May to early June, spray 20% Tiaoxiao Lisha 2000-fold solution + pirimicarb 2500-fold solution + 70% Junwuzong 1000-fold solution to control pear fruit borers, aphids, early defoliation disease, ring rot, anthracnose, etc.

In addition to the knowledge introduced above, in the process of planting Hanfu apple, we should also pay attention to controlling its water, fertilizer, and growth, and must carry out moderate drainage and irrigation as well as safe pruning to ensure its survival rate and high-quality fruit.
