What plants are suitable for growing in the office?

To give us a good office environment, we can grow some plants in the office. Let us introduce them to you below.

Peace lily

It suppresses waste gases exhaled by the human body, such as ammonia and acetone. It can also filter benzene, trichloroethylene and formaldehyde from the air. Its high transpiration rate can prevent the nasal mucosa from drying out, greatly reducing the likelihood of illness.

Aglaonema

It is known for its unique air-purifying ability: the higher the concentration of pollutants in the air, the more it can exert its purifying power! Therefore, it is very suitable for dark rooms with poor ventilation.

Maidenhair fern

It can absorb about 20 micrograms of formaldehyde per hour, so it is considered the most effective biological "purifier". People who deal with paint and coatings all day, or who have smokers around them, should place at least one pot of fern in the workplace. In addition, it can also suppress xylene and toluene released from computer monitors and printers.

Golden barrel cactus

When it comes to office flowers, the golden barrel cactus is of course the first choice. The golden barrel cactus has high ornamental value in its stem, leaves and flowers, and it is an artistic masterpiece among hydroponic flowers. The key reason World Factory Network's editors recommend the golden barrel cactus is that it can absorb electromagnetic radiation, and it is also a natural air freshener, with the added ability to adsorb dust and purify the air.

Spider plant

According to research, the spider plant has the function of absorbing toxic gases. Generally, if a room has one pot of spider plant, the formaldehyde emitted by smoking and building materials in the air can be almost completely absorbed, playing a role in purifying the air and also protecting the human body.

Pittosporum

Pittosporum, also known as Baozhu xiang and qili xiang, is an evergreen shrub that blooms in summer, with tender green and glossy leaves that stay evergreen all year round without withering. A flower proverb says, "Qili xiang reduces smoke and is also a good sound-insulating plant." It can absorb photochemical smog and also resist dust and insulate sound.

Ping'an tree

At present, relatively popular large plants on the market, such as the ping'an tree and camphor tree, can release a fresh gas that makes people feel cheerful. The ping'an tree is also called "cinnamon", and its market price is generally 80-100 yuan per pot. When buying this plant, be sure to pay attention to the potting soil: if the roots and soil are tightly bound together, it is pot-grown; otherwise, it was field-grown. When buying, choose a pot-grown one, because pot-grown plants have already adapted to the local environment and are easy to keep alive.

The above is an introduction to office plants. We hope you enjoy it.
