How to Water Asparagus Fern: The Correct Watering Method
In the daily care of asparagus fern, how to water it is crucial. If you water too much, it will cause poor growth, yellowing and falling leaves, and in severe cases root rot. If you water too little, the leaf tips will turn yellow and drop off. So how should we water asparagus fern?
The amount of water for asparagus fern should be adjusted flexibly according to different care environments, seasons, and even potting soil. Do not blindly copy other gardeners' experience. In winter, spring, and autumn, watering should be properly controlled. Generally, water again when the soil surface looks dry. If the water amount is hard to judge, you can also alternate between light and heavy watering, that is, after 3 to 5 light waterings, give 1 thorough watering, so that the potting soil stays moist top to bottom without holding too much water.
In summer, water in both the morning and evening, and a slightly larger amount is not a problem. In summer, besides normal watering, you can also often sprinkle water on the ground around the plant and rinse the branches and leaves with clean water to increase air humidity.
A simple summary of watering asparagus fern: asparagus fern likes moisture, but it is afraid of water accumulating in the pot. Too much water easily causes root rot, while too little water easily dries out the leaf tips.
