Can Anthurium Take Direct Sunlight? Care Should Avoid Direct Sunlight
When growing plants, how well they grow is directly related to daily care. Watering, fertilizing, and light are all indispensable, so that the growth of the anthurium is not affected. Many plants need sunlight for photosynthesis, so can anthurium take sunlight?
Anthurium prefers a warm, humid environment with good drainage, and fears drought and strong direct sunlight. Its suitable growing daytime temperature is 26-32°C, and nighttime temperature is 21-32°C. The highest temperature it can tolerate is 35°C, and the lowest temperature it can tolerate is 14°C. It is worth noting that its flowers are toxic, so be sure to wash your hands after touching them.
Normal growth of anthurium requires sufficient diffused light. For home cultivation, the following should generally be noted: in summer, avoid strong direct sunlight on the leaves and flowers; in autumn and winter, when conditions permit, move it near a window to increase light exposure. The plant also needs to be rotated regularly to ensure it receives even light and to promote a full, rounded crown shape.
When growing anthurium at home, keep the temperature as stable as possible. The optimal growing temperature for anthurium is 16-24°C, and the minimum temperature should be kept above 12°C. In an ordinary household with heating facilities, this condition is easy to meet. But at the same time, note that the pot must not be placed on top of a radiator or too close to a radiator. In summer, when the temperature exceeds 30°C, move the plant to a ventilated room on the relatively north side, and you can spray water around the plant to cool it down.
Can Anthurium Take Sunlight? Anthurium can take sunlight, but remember never to let the sun shine directly on it. You can use indirect sunlight instead. The time anthurium spends in sunlight also must not be too long, so that its growth is not affected.
