How to Master Aloe Vera Watering Methods and Frequency Through the Four Seasons
Many people grow aloe vera on home balconies, because aloe vera has many benefits, is easy to grow, and is easy to keep alive. Aloe vera needs regular watering; if it is not watered, it will dry out and die. Below is an introduction to aloe vera watering methods for the four seasons.
Spring Watering
In spring, water generally once every 5 to 7 days, and the watering can be done in the morning. If spring brings a rainy season, the interval between waterings can be appropriately extended.
Summer Watering
Summer is characterized by high temperatures and a large amount of evaporation, so watering should be frequent; watering once every 2-3 days is fine. In summer, watering should be done in the evening; never water in the morning, as this can easily scorch the plant. In summer, you can also frequently spray water on the aloe vera to lower the temperature.
Autumn Watering
Autumn watering techniques are much the same as in spring: water once every 5 to 7 days, water again after the soil dries, and water thoroughly, avoiding waterlogged potting soil.
Winter Watering
Winter watering is less frequent; generally water once every 15-20 days, and choose midday when the temperature is higher for watering. Some people also advocate not watering in winter and keeping the potting soil dry, which is more helpful for aloe vera to get through the winter.
The four-season aloe vera watering methods are as above. In different seasons, the amount of water given to aloe vera will differ. If you want your aloe vera to survive better, you need to carefully manage the watering; the amount of water cannot be too much or too little, so as to avoid problems caused by improper watering.
