How to grow roses so they bloom in their most beautiful form
Anyone who loves roses knows that this flower is quite beautiful and comes in many colors, and it also looks quite nice placed indoors. Many people grow roses at home, but they do not know how to care for them and worry about getting it wrong. So, how do you grow roses?
1. Scientific pruning to control the flowering period
The time of flower shoot emergence, bud formation and blooming is determined by the heterogeneity of the rose. During this period, only by fully understanding the plant's habits can you get rose growing right.
2. Watering management
Roses consume a lot of water and nutrients during the flowering period. So when growing roses, you can appropriately water them with 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate. This helps the roses maintain water and nutrients.
3. Other points to note
Growing roses also requires attention to some pruning techniques, repotting methods, pest control, loosening the soil and weeding, and so on. Only by fully understanding these techniques can you cultivate good roses.
It is recommended to put a filter layer at the bottom of the pot (put a layer of ceramsite or foam broken into small pieces at the bottom of the pot). I am a bit lazy, so I put it in some pots and not in others. If you do not put it in, lay a piece of non-woven fabric at the bottom of the pot (if you do not have any, buy the cheapest wet wipes at the supermarket, the kind that cost one yuan a pack, and lay them at the bottom of the pot). Here I want to emphasize: it is best not to use those so-called pot-bottom anti-leak nets, which are similar to window screen but much thicker, and they are not cheap on Taobao. I used them, and when I repotted, I found that all the roots were tangled messily around that net, and there was no way around it, so I broke a lot of roots. So frustrating.
After preparing the filter layer, or taking anti-leak measures, first put a layer of soil at the bottom of the pot, a thin layer is enough, then put a layer of organic fertilizer on top (chicken manure, sheep manure, etc.). Cow manure and worm castings are not recommended; they do not seem to have much fertility, and roses need heavy feeding. After putting in the organic fertilizer, cover it with soil. With a layer of soil in between, then start planting the rose. It is recommended not to break up the original root ball; place the root ball on top, fill with soil, press gently, and you can slightly shake the pot yourself.
How do you grow roses? Depending on the variety, the methods for growing roses will differ. Before growing roses, people must also understand the specific growing methods to truly grow them well. Those who do not know the specific growing methods must learn them clearly.
