For beginners growing flowers, the plants always end up dying on you, and it hurts the flower as much as it hurts you. In fact, most flowering plants have roughly the same key care requirements. During the care process you only need to pay attention to those few points, and they will grow well too. Today Huahua will introduce three methods so you never have to worry about killing your flowers again.

The first method: water less

When growing flowers, you must water a little less. Many times, your beloved flower is killed simply because you usually water it too much. When you water too much, the potting soil cannot absorb it all, and if drainage is poor, water easily accumulates in the pot, which makes the roots rot very easily.

After each watering, give the plant enough time to absorb the water and gradually dry out. Generally, watering about once a week is enough; watering once a day will kill it quickly. Also judge when to water based on how dry or humid the environment is. Before watering, you can find a dry little wooden stick, insert it into the soil, then pull it out and look: if the stick is somewhat moist, that means the potting soil is still fairly moist, and at that point you do not need to water.

The second method: good light

The environment where flowering plants grow must have sunlight. With sunlight, plants grow better. This is especially true for those plants that naturally like to grow in the sun; without sunlight, their growth will be affected. But in the scorching heat of summer, these plants should be shaded appropriately, since smaller potted plants can easily get sunburned under strong light.

The third method: you must choose the right flower pot

When buying a flower pot, be sure to check whether the bottom has drainage holes and how good its drainage is. Because when growing flowers, whether drainage is good depends on the soil on one hand and the flower pot on the other.

For example, clay pots naturally have better drainage, so water accumulation in the pot happens less often. Also, sometimes when growing flowers we need to apply some fertilizer solution, and if this fertilizer solution cannot drain away for a long time, it easily burns the roots.
