No need to spend money on nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers - make them at home and your flowers will grow like crazy
Recently, many gardening friends have left messages for Huahua. Some say their flowers grow slowly, and some say their flowers only grow leaves but do not bloom. In fact, these problems may all be caused by a lack of fertilizer. Today, Huahua will tell everyone how to make nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers at home, so your flowers grow fast and bloom brilliantly!

Nitrogen fertilizer, make your flowers shoot up fast!
Nitrogen fertilizer is the nutrient flowers need most during their growing period. If they lack nitrogen fertilizer, they will grow slowly, and their leaves will be small and sparse!

Homemade nitrogen fertilizer:
1. Go to an oil mill at the vegetable market and buy some soybean cake or peanut bran, break it into small pieces by hand, then crush it into bits with a tool. This way it ferments faster.

2. Put the crushed soybean residue and peanut residue into a plastic bottle, filling it only to half the bottle's height.

3. Add clean water to the plastic bottle, filling it to 2/3 of the bottle's height, then put the lid on and leave a small gap to release gas and prevent an explosion. You can also add some orange peel or pomelo peel to reduce the smell.

4. After about 2 months, if the fertilizer water in the plastic bottle turns gray-black, it has fermented successfully. When applying it, dilute the cake fertilizer water with 20 times its amount of clean water.

5. For flowers in their growing period, apply liquid cake fertilizer 3 times a month, diluted and poured along the edge of the pot. The leaves that grow will be large, green, and so dense you cannot see through them!
Phosphorus fertilizer, make your flowers bloom 100 blossoms!
Many gardening friends have grown clivia and kalanchoe for several years without them blooming. That may be because they lack phosphorus fertilizer.
Homemade nitrogen fertilizer method:
1. Collect leftover fish bones, chicken bones, or pork bones, soak them in water for 24 hours first, and wash away the salt on the bones.
2. Put the washed bones into a pot, boil them in clean water for 20 minutes, and remove the salt and surface fat from the bones. Then put them in a cool, shaded place to dry, crush them with a hammer or other tool, and make bone meal.
3. Dig a small hole at the edge of the potting soil, bury a little bone meal in it, then cover it with soil again. Use it once every 10 days before the flowering period. The flowers will be more numerous and larger, and the color will become more vivid!
Potassium fertilizer, make your flowers' roots stronger!
If flowers lack potassium fertilizer, the leaf tips will dry up, the leaves will curl, brown spots will appear, and the old leaves at the bottom will fall off.
Homemade potassium fertilizer method:
1. Put wood ash into a plastic bottle, then add 10 times its amount of clean water, shake well, and let it sit for a day before use.
2. The next day, take the upper clear liquid of the wood ash water to water the roots and spray the leaves. Use it 1-2 times a month. It not only supplements potassium fertilizer for the flowers, but also eliminates pests such as sow bugs, ants, and fungus gnats.
3. In winter, spread wood ash on the surface of the pot. It can improve the flowers' cold resistance and disease resistance, keep the roots warm, and when you water the flowers, the wood ash seeps into the soil and supplements potassium fertilizer for the flowers again!
That is all for the methods of making fertilizer at home.
