What tips are there for growing flowers in a large home? Create a garden-style home

Placing lush plants and flowers in a large home is not only a good decoration, but can also improve the local environment's temperature, humidity and air quality. But the soil in flower pots often gives off an unpleasant smell, especially after fertilizing, and can also breed small insects. In fact, growing some hydroponic plants indoors works better.

Because hydroponic plants have the following advantages: First, since water can evaporate freely, in the same environment they play a more obvious role than plants grown in potted soil in regulating air humidity; second, hydroponic plants can skip the management work of potted soil, are clean and hygienic, and are simple to care for; third, if you choose some plants whose roots can be exposed to sunlight and pair them with a suitable container, the whole plant can be viewed, giving it higher ornamental value.

There are two major categories of hydroponic plants. One is aquatic flowers. They grow in water in nature, such as the lotus and water lily we are familiar with; the other is flowers that can be grown hydroponically. Under normal circumstances they grow in soil or a growing medium, such as narcissus and hyacinth. Since indoor light is not abundant enough, the latter category is more suitable for growing. In addition, they have low nutrient requirements and can basically grow in tap water. No nutrient solution needs to be added.

Suitable species for the home include pothos, hyacinth, lucky bamboo, spider plant, Dieffenbachia, heartleaf philodendron, and Dracaena. Any container with a certain volume that allows the roots to spread can be used to hold these plants, and a glass container with an open mouth is more favorable for maintaining water quality and root growth. When planting, avoid letting the leaves be submerged in water, so as to prevent rotting; place it under suitable light conditions and it will soon take root; when you notice there is little water, add some water to prevent the roots from drying out; when the water becomes cloudy, take out the plant, clean the container, and refill with water.
