Chongzuo, Guangxi strengthens guidance for autumn and winter planting development

In 2009, Deputy Director Zhao Long of the Agriculture Bureau recently led relevant technical personnel from the city's Extension Station and Seed Station deep into Jiangzhou District, Ningming County and Longzhou County to supervise and guide the development of autumn and winter planting in each county (district). When he saw that every county (district) was busy with autumn and winter planting, a smile appeared on his face. At the same time, he emphasized the following: First, the locations and areas of demonstration plots for various crops must be implemented in a timely manner, with early planning and early arrangements; second, publicity work must be done well, the thinking of the farming masses must be properly guided, and winter fallow fields should no longer be left "idle" through the winter; third, training must be strengthened, and relevant experts and technicians should be invited to go deep into the fields to provide face-to-face training for farmers, further raising the technical content of autumn and winter planting; fourth, active efforts must be made to secure seeds for various crops, ensure seed quality and supply, and provide farmers with fine seeds; fifth, contacts with merchants must be strengthened, purchase contracts must be signed in a timely manner, and sales channels must be ensured, thereby increasing farmers' income.
