**Wuqia County's industrial economy shows gratifying development momentum
(Agricultural Wealth Network) Wuqia County has strived to overcome the negative impact of the financial crisis, relying on its advantages for scientific development, firmly grasping the "strengthen the county through industry" strategy without letting go, focusing on port relocation, natural gas development, water conservancy hub project construction, enterprise technological transformation, industrial zone infrastructure construction and services, effectively ensuring the sound operation of the industrial economy. In the first half of the year, the county completed a GDP of 16,533 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%. Of this, the total industrial output value reached 139.5 million yuan, achieving an industrial added value of 40.19 million yuan, accounting for 84.38% of the county's total output value.

Second, relying on abundant natural gas and hydropower resources, coordinating various service tasks for Tarim Oil Development's Ake Gas Field, the Liaoning Water Conservancy Bureau's investment of 2.6 billion yuan to develop the third-level hydropower station on the Kezilesu River, and Kashi-Kizilsu's construction of the Kalabeili Water Conservancy Project. Shandong Shengdong Gas Development's combined heat and power project in Wuqia has been officially put into operation. In the first half of the year, Shengdong Gas Power Generation Company's 6 units of 500kw and 1 unit of 400 kw operated normally, generating a total of 2.8 million kWh. Third, firmly grasping the opportunities of the already-relocated Tuopa Port and the Yirkeshtan Port currently being relocated and under construction, effectively leveraging the advantages of two markets and two types of resources at two national first-class open ports, planning border resident cooperation and mutual trade zones and border foreign trade processing zones, actively developing warehousing and logistics, finance and insurance, tourism development, transportation, real estate, building materials processing, electromechanical assembly and manufacturing industries, building a major corridor, bridgehead and hub station for opening to the west.
