Shandong Haiyang City Yangjiaopan Aquatic Seedling Factory Sees Promising Seedling Production

     This year, the Yangjiaopan Aquatic Seedling Factory has a promising production situation. With nearly 10,000 cubic meters of seedling water, it has bred 400 million seedlings of Japanese shrimp, Chinese shrimp, swimming crab, and others. By the end of May, income from Chinese shrimp seedling breeding alone reached 400,000 yuan. 

    Recently, during an interview at the Yangjiaopan Aquatic Seedling Factory in Haiyang City, reporters observed that large quantities of Chinese shrimp seedlings were being bred in over a dozen shrimp ponds. Staff members were strictly following technical protocols for shrimp seedling breeding and carefully cultivating and caring for various shrimp seedlings. It is understood that Chinese shrimp seedlings grow rapidly, have strong disease resistance, and after maturity are large in size and high in yield, making them popular among aquaculture farmers. 

    Wang Zhongshan, Director of Yangjiaopan Aquatic Seedling Factory: This year, Chinese shrimp were bred in a total of 18 ponds, estimated to produce over 70 million, with a market price of 60 yuan per 10,000. 

    It is understood that since the beginning of spring, the factory has successively introduced high-quality parent stock such as Chinese shrimp, Japanese shrimp, and swimming crab. Through techniques including gonadal maturation promotion, indoor natural mating, and spawning and hatching, it has produced first- and second-generation virus-free seedlings, which are growing well. Among them, Chinese shrimp have reached an average size of over 1.5 cm per individual, with the largest reaching 2 cm per individual, mainly sold to Weihai, Qingdao, Yantai, and other places.
