It is reported that "Jingzao 39" is a high-quality fresh-eating large jujube, an award-winning project of Beijing's "Golden Bridge Project" in 2005. Dr. Pan Qinghua of the Institute of Forestry and Pomology, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, said that the fruit of "Jingzao 39" is extra large, generally the size of an egg, with high sugar content, crisp and tender flesh, and top-grade quality. The average fruit weight is 28.3 grams, the largest single fruit weighs 45 grams, and the edible rate is 98.7%.
According to him, "Jingzao 39" has the characteristics of cold resistance, drought tolerance, tolerance to poor soil, early bearing and high yield, and wide adaptability. In addition to the above characteristics, the ripening period of "Jingzao 39" coincides with China's traditional festivals, the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, making it very suitable for the needs of rural tourism development in the Beijing suburbs.
