Rongcheng, Shandong: Live fish "swim" to South Korea, earning foreign exchange through exports
From January to August this year, Rongcheng Customs rapidly cleared more than 12,000 tons of live fish, generating over 15 million USD in foreign exchange earnings through exports.

To ensure the efficiency of customs clearance for fresh and live seafood, Rongcheng Customs implements a 24-hour appointment overtime system and a 5+2 work schedule, reasonably arranging on-site duty rosters based on the arrival and departure times of regular port vessels, safeguarding enterprises' logistics turnover speed and production and operational efficiency, and ensuring that no shipment of live fish is left behind or delayed at port. Rongcheng Customs has also opened a dedicated “green channel,” implementing “clearance upon arrival” for live fish exports, ensuring zero-wait customs clearance for fresh fish exports, so they are sold to South Korea at the freshest quality.
