Hu Naiwen of Yuhong Village, Dawa County: a good young man who got rich by raising foxes

A young farmer approaching 40, in just two short years, lifted himself from poverty to prosperity and led the surrounding villagers to get rich together. This person is Hu Naiwen of Yuhong Village, Qingshui Town, Dawa County.

Two years ago, Hu Naiwen was still an ordinary farmer in Yuhong Village, barely scraping by in poverty on a dozen or so mu of paddy fields, with a child still in senior high school at home. The enormous financial pressure once made it impossible for him to hold his head up.

As the saying goes, when poor, one must change; change brings a way through. Traditional rice cultivation was already far from enough to meet the needs of life. He kept thinking: what project suits me and also has broad prospects? It happened that a TV special report on the breeding industry gave him inspiration. So he set out on a journey of investigation, going to places including Hebei and Shandong, and settled on the fox-raising project. He paid for ten breeding foxes and brought them home to raise. To solve the technical problems of breeding, he often consulted relevant materials and sought advice from experts, overcoming one difficulty after another.

Today, Hu Naiwen's breeding scale has expanded to more than 200 breeding foxes and cubs. After just two years of hard struggle, Hu Naiwen went from being a formerly impoverished household to becoming a well-known prosperous household in the whole village.

Although he became rich by raising foxes, Hu Naiwen did not forget his fellow villagers. With his support, dozens of households in the village have now taken up fox raising, and he also provides them with breeding technology and epidemic prevention services, so that everyone can walk together on the road to prosperity by raising foxes.
