Yu Jiawei from Fengxian Village, Suibin County: Breeding blue foxes to create wealth
The construction of Yu Jiawei's blue fox farm was planned in September 2007. At that time, Xiang Dianchen, a Party member from the former No. 6 Team of the First Management District, taking advantage of his family's 2-hectare fish pond, recruited Yu Jiawei, who was engaged in raising blue foxes in Fengxian Village, Suidong Town, Suibin County, to the former No. 6 Team of the First Management District, intending to build a professional farm with an investment of one million yuan and a breeding scale of over a thousand animals. For this, the Party branch of the First Management District and the farm trade union actively assisted with the application for Yu Jiawei's farm, and also communicated multiple times with the branch bureau's land bureau and other relevant departments, promptly assisting him in completing the land approval for the farm.
In early 2008, Yu Jiawei's farm was completed, covering 8000 sq m, with a breeding scale of over 200 animals. The fur income per blue fox reached 600 yuan, with costs at around 200 yuan, generating an income of over 80,000 yuan that year. This year, affected by the financial crisis, the fur market has weakened, and the fur income per blue fox reached only 300 yuan. The farm's breeding scale was setback, and the number of animals raised was reduced, with nearly 50 animals currently in stock.
