Chen Hua: Laid off and returned home to grow greenhouse vegetables, made a profit of 20,000 yuan in three months

In 2007, he was laid off and returned home to grow vegetables. In the first year, he planted 1 mu of tomatoes and sold them for more than 10,000 yuan. After tasting success, Chen Hua was determined to go all out. In 2008, he expanded the scale and rented 3 more mu of land to continue growing vegetables. Unexpectedly, he encountered the Wenchuan earthquake and market impacts. Not only did vegetable yields decrease, but the vegetables he grew could not be sold either. Chen Hua's investment was completely lost.

With the lessons of failure and market research, at the beginning of this year, Chen Hua discovered that growing greenhouse vegetables was profitable, but he suffered from a lack of funds. Just when Chen Hua was at a loss, he remembered that the county Youth League Committee and financial departments were providing small loan assistance to young entrepreneurs. With the idea of giving it a try, Chen Hua wrote a loan application to the county Youth League Committee. After an on-site inspection, a few days later, the county Youth League Committee and the county rural credit union issued Chen Hua a loan of 50,000 yuan. At present, Chen Hua has developed more than 6 mu of greenhouse vegetables, and from March to June alone, he made a profit of more than 20,000 yuan.

In order to effectively serve entrepreneurs, since the beginning of this year, the Communist Youth League Pingchang County Committee has strengthened communication and cooperation with the county rural credit cooperative union, launched a small loan project for rural entrepreneurs, established a leading group for the small loan project for entrepreneurs, and issued specific plans, selecting rural young people with entrepreneurial spirit and ability to provide credit support for their entrepreneurship. At the same time, a joint meeting system was established with grassroots Youth League organizations and credit unions to conduct information communication from time to time. For young entrepreneurs recommended by grassroots Youth League organizations and credit unions, investigations are conducted within a time limit, with priority rating, priority credit granting, priority certificate issuance, and priority loans, and interest discounts and simplified procedures are also provided. At present, 430 rural young entrepreneurs in the county have signed contracts with credit unions, obtaining credit loans of 13.29 million yuan, effectively solving the "bottleneck" problem of funds faced by rural entrepreneurs.
