According to the introduction, Landes geese sell well mainly because their fatty goose liver has high nutritional value and market supply is scarce. The low-fat fatty goose liver is not only rich in nutritional value, but also has functions such as cancer prevention, and is therefore deeply favored by consumers. Everyone who has eaten fatty goose liver says it tastes good, with delicate meat that is not greasy, making it a rare healthy "green food."

    Zhang Yuezhen introduced Landes goose breeding stock from Jilin in May this year. After nearly 1 month of raising them, she used feed specially for feeding Landes geese, namely corn cooked to 8-tenths done, and with the help of a feeding machine stuffed it into the mouths of the Landes geese, 6-8 times a day, so that the Landes geese developed enlarged goose livers. After 1 month of special feeding, one goose liver of a Landes goose can weigh about 1 kg, far greater than the liver weight of ordinary white geese. Fatty goose liver can sell on the market for 70 to 80 yuan per kg, mainly to hotels and restaurants in Ningbo, Xiangshan and other places, and is deeply welcomed and highly regarded by customers. 

    Zhang Zhenyue's success in raising white geese benefited from her skill in applying agricultural technology information. From breed introduction, farming and sales and every other link, she relied on agricultural technology information to point the way. She believes that her initial achievements today would not have been possible without the help given by the government. In May last year, in accordance with the requirements of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government on "establishing a team of one thousand agricultural science and technology information officers," our city, on the basis of the original agricultural information officer team, formed a team of agricultural technology information officers. Each agricultural technology information officer took up their post after training by the municipal agricultural information center.
