Five measures in Xiamen City, Fujian, to ensure the quality and safety of livestock and poultry products
(Agricultural Wealth Network) First, strengthen the prevention and control of major animal diseases. Strictly follow scientific immunization procedures to truly achieve "vaccinate all that should be vaccinated, leaving no gaps"; organize inspections of the immunization status of large-scale farms and backyard households across the city and issue timely notifications. Second, standardize slaughter quarantine. Strictly enforce the "three certificates and one mark" entry system, implement synchronous quarantine, and strengthen random testing for banned drugs such as "clenbuterol" and ractopamine to ensure the safety of meat sold on the market. Third, strengthen quarantine at designated poultry wholesale markets on the island. Adopt measures such as separate operation of waterfowl and landfowl, rotational disinfection, harmless treatment of diseased and dead poultry, and attaching leg bands after passing quarantine, to ensure that all poultry sold on the market undergoes strict quarantine. Fourth, strengthen the supervision of animal product transportation and allocation. Carry out quarantine declaration and inspection work for animal products entering the island, and strictly implement systems such as approval for allocation before entering the island, declaration and inspection quarantine, detention and testing, warehousing and storage, label attachment, and quality traceability. Fifth, strengthen safety supervision of breeding production inputs such as feed and veterinary drugs.
