After the demolition and relocation in Huangzhuang Village, Yong'an Township, Shizhong District of Zaozhuang City, the villagers moved to the Yong'an New Community. In response to the reality that some villages west of Xichang Road had dirty, messy and poor living environments, were riddled with ponds and lacked supporting infrastructure, the CPC Committee and the District Government of Shizhong District of Zaozhuang City invested 280 million yuan to build the Yong'an New Community, consolidating 6 villages and resettling 3,060 households, more than 12,000 villagers. District Party Committee Secretary Du Yongguang told the reporter that they persist in developing agriculture through industrialization, prospering rural areas through urbanization, enriching farmers through non-agriculturalization, and beautifying rural areas through ecologicalization, applying treatment by category and advancing as a whole, and that the district's rural areas have shown a good situation of optimized and upgraded industrial structure, sustained growth of farmers' incomes, continuously improved quality of the masses, and accelerated development of rural social undertakings.
Prospering rural areas through urbanization. Following the idea of concentrating farmers in towns and cities and concentrating residence in communities and central villages, Shizhong District vigorously promotes the "four models" of community construction, township seat development, enterprise development-driven development, and renovation of large villages and central villages, accelerates the construction of small towns, new rural communities and central villages, improves the rural living environment, and realizes clustered urban-rural development.
Developing agriculture through industrialization. Based on its suburban advantages, the district focuses on cultivating leading agricultural enterprises such as Brothers Food, Longye Fruits and Vegetables, and Zhida Chemical, supports the development of 56 farmers' specialized cooperative economic organizations such as Guoda Animal Husbandry Cooperative and Jitang Roast Duck Cooperative, driving 18,000 farming households, with annual sales revenue of 370 million yuan, raising the degree of organization with which farmers enter the market.
Enriching farmers through non-agriculturalization. It vigorously carries out vocational skills training for farmers and education to cultivate a civilized lifestyle, so that farmers who go out can adapt to the civilized requirements and pace of life of towns and cities and integrate into the ranks of urban residents. In recent years, through implementing the Sunshine Project for training in the transfer of rural labor, the district has transferred 14,860 surplus rural laborers; from last year to now, more than 16,000 farmers from townships around the urban area have bought homes in the city to live and become commuters.
Beautifying rural areas through ecologicalization. A total of more than 10,000 household biogas digesters have been built in rural areas, 103 biogas street lamps installed, 11 km of biogas street lamp demonstration streets built, and 36 civilized ecological villages completed, improving the rural living environment.
