Six backward villages in Yongning County, Ningxia achieve collective transformation
Six backward villages in Yongning County, Ningxia undergo collective "makeover"
(Agricultural Wealth Network) Since the beginning of this year, Yongning County has intensified its efforts to rectify backward villages through a series of effective measures such as cadre adjustment and Party member education. Six backward villages, including Funing Village in Minning Town, have successively shed their backward labels. Village cadres' ability to serve the masses and solve problems has continuously improved, the appearance of villages has changed, and farmers' wallets have also grown fatter.
Recently, the author came to Yuanlin Village in Shengli Township, Yongning County. This place was once a backward village well known throughout the county. The village's 13 Party members had not held a single organizational life activity in two years, had not developed a single Party member, and the village office facilities were simple and crude. Whenever there was a meeting, villagers would gather on the sandy ground in front of the village office to voice their opinions. The County Party Committee Organization Department sent a cadre from the county to take charge of the village. First, the village Party branch leadership was adjusted. Based on the masses' feedback, the village women's director and 3 team leaders were removed, and the responsibilities and powers of village cadres were redistributed. After more than a year of unremitting efforts, village cadres secured over 200,000 yuan in grain subsidies for the villagers, added 3 beef cattle farms, renovated the village office, and paved the village lanes.
In addition, several other backward villages, including Funing Village in Minning Town, Zhengtai Village in Wangyuan Town, and Xishao Village in Lijun Town, also started with rectifying their village Party branch leadership and, in combination with each village's advantages and characteristics, developed industries such as breeding, processing, services, and transportation. This not only increased the masses' income but also strengthened collective economic income. All 6 backward villages shed their backward labels, presenting a new situation of villages competing with one another for development.
