Argentina exchange: weather hot and dry, Argentina's soybean planting pace accelerates
(Agricultural Wealth Network)    According to the weekly report released by the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange of Argentina on November 11, as of now, soybean planting work has been completed on 33.8% of the planned area of 19 million hectares, a sharp increase of 21.7% from a week ago.

Over the past week, the weather in most soybean-producing areas of Argentina was hot and dry, prompting farmers to accelerate the pace of soybean planting.

Although planting conditions in most areas were ideal, the western and southern regions remained very dry, and farmers in these areas had to suspend planting.

However, favorable rainfall is expected in the northwestern region in the coming days. The exchange still believes that farmers will complete the planting plan.

This year's Argentine soybean planting area is expected to be 7% higher than the previous historical record, mainly due to declines in the planting areas of corn, sunflower seeds and wheat.

The 2009/10 Argentine soybean crop will also be strongly boosted by El Nino weather.
