Zhoutou Agricultural Technology Station in Susong, Anhui Gathers First-Hand Data to Guide Agricultural Production

(Agricultural Wealth Network)    Recently, technicians from the Zhoutou Agricultural Technology Station in Susong County went into villages and households and deep into the fields to carry out a survey of cotton production in 2009, covering 120 households in 11 villages across the township, including 55 households planting more than 30 mu of cotton. The survey covered cotton variety layout, pesticide and fertilizer inputs, drought-relief and drainage inputs, seed cotton yield per unit area, pest and disease control techniques, fertilization and chemical regulation techniques, cotton planting plans and variety intentions, and production opinions and suggestions. This survey was part of the "three entries and five visits" and "major public sentiment visits" activities, gathering first-hand data for scientifically guiding agricultural production in the future.
