Anhui Xiaoxian Farmland Water Conservancy Construction Wins the "Jianghuai Cup" Gold Award
(Agricultural Wealth Network) Recently, the 14th "Jianghuai Cup" competition for farmland water conservancy basic construction in Anhui Province was announced. Xiaoxian's farmland water conservancy basic construction work won the gold award for its innovative performance, and Xiaoxian also won the title of "National Key County for Farmland Water Conservancy Basic Construction."
From last winter to this spring, Xiaoxian raised a total of 1.019 billion yuan in water conservancy improvement and construction funds, treated 480,000 mu of low-lying land, excavated and dredged 28 large ditches, 360 medium ditches, and 3,920 small ditches, restored 11,380 field ditches and 4,856 headland ditches, repaired 89 village ponds, completed 13.86 million cubic meters of earthwork, built 13,470 new small bridges and culverts, restored 5,485 small bridges and culverts, and newly drilled or restored 475 motor-pumped wells, exceeding the annual target tasks.
It is understood that Xiaoxian's water conservancy improvement work showed three encouraging transformations. In terms of construction entities, it changed from the original "government alone" solo to a "diverse society" chorus; in terms of construction projects, it changed from mainly managing key projects to highlighting the management of field "capillaries," with comprehensive management advancing together; in terms of construction and management systems, it changed from the original emphasis on construction over management to simultaneous construction and management, and the operating mechanism of rural small water conservancy project management associations has been continuously improved.
