Gansu Heshui County Biogas Project Achieves Remarkable Results

(Agricultural Wealth Network)    Implementing the rural biogas national bond project construction is an important part of the "Ecological Homeland Prosperity Plan" that the Ministry of Agriculture has focused on advancing in recent years, and is also one of the effective ways to improve the rural environment and promote farmers' income growth. Heshui County applied for project approval in 2003, and up to now, 6,000 biogas digesters have been built. After being put into use, calculated at 1,800 kg of firewood saved per digester per year, valued at 360 yuan, plus 120 yuan in electricity savings, the direct economic benefit reaches 2.88 million yuan each year.
