Hengyang City provides free training to more than 4,000 computer operators through rural distance education
On the morning of November 6, 30 municipal rural distance education computer operators from Futianpu Township and Shaquan Township in Hengshan County, Hunan Province, including Liu Hongqing and Hu Zhengning, passed the written test and practical computer operation exam at Baiyun School and successfully received the completion certificates uniformly issued by the Occupational Skill Testing Authority of the Municipal Labor and Social Security Bureau and the rural computer operator appointment letters issued by the Organization Department of the Hengshan County Party Committee.
In response to the low penetration rate of computer use in rural areas of Hengyang City, starting in March this year, the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, together with the Labor and Social Security Bureau, the Land and Resources Bureau and Hengyang Technician College, and based on the principle of "all staff participating in training, organized by stages," provided free training in computer operation and other related skills to distance education site administrators, service technicians and volunteers in each township and village. The aim was to enable trainees, through systematic study of professional knowledge, to master the operation, maintenance and teaching management methods of various computer equipment, and to help advance the building of a new socialist countryside.
At the examination site in the morning, leaders and examiners from the Hengyang Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, the Occupational Skill Testing Authority of the Hengyang Municipal Labor and Social Security Bureau, and Hengyang Technician College conducted a strict examination of 30 rural distance education computer operators from Futianpu and Shaquan townships in Hengshan County.
After receiving the certificates and appointment letters, Jiang Shuiying from Dongsheng Village happily told reporters: "Through this training we have not only learned network knowledge, but can also learn about the outside world and information on becoming prosperous through the Internet, and can also publish information about our family's new products online. We have truly benefited so much."
At this point, Hengyang City held a total of 17 computer operator training sessions throughout the year, and all 4,040 computer operators successfully completed the training.
