Russian Ministry of Agriculture Hopes to Develop Grain Exports to the Asia-Pacific Region
RIA Novosti, Moscow, November 9 - Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Korolyov, speaking at a seminar on "Strengthening Grain Logistics Infrastructure and Enhancing Russia's Grain Competitiveness," said that in recent years grain production in the Siberian Federal District has grown steadily, reaching 20 million tons this year, with 8 million tons available for export after meeting domestic demand, which should be supplied to the Asia-Pacific region where grain demand is growing.

He stated that exporting to the West faces the practical problems of limited transport channels and too many competitors, while exporting to Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, China, and Indonesia can yield long-term benefits, but it requires developing grain logistics infrastructure in the Russian Far East direction to enhance the competitiveness of exported grain in the Asia-Pacific market.
